They're my jam. Sure, I love a gorgeous dress, a bouquet full of peonies, and a beautifully yummy cake. But what I really love about weddings is what most people don't see.
I love being with the couple as they're getting ready. Reminiscing with their wedding party. Nervous jitters. Sweet gifts being exchanged. Mom getting a little tipsy from the mimosas. I love to tease grooms that they're going to cry, and then exchange, "I told you so" smirks as they wait, with tears in their eyes, for the love of their life to walk toward them. And a dad, seeing his daughter in her dress. Oy! Pass the tissues!! Grandparents! So adorable! Parents clinging to each other as their children say, "I do."
When they say that your wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye, it's true. And being entrusted to capture those little moments is one of the greatest honors of my life.
